Stuff You Want to Know | Seed Saving

Stuff You Want to Know | Seed Saving

R.O.O.T.S. Youth Development Program will teach teens the basics of seed saving. Teens will learn why they should seed save, how to seed save, what plants are best suited to seed save, what role pollination plays in seed saving, and how to extract seeds from different fruits and vegetables.

Teens will learn to save seeds from tomatoes and peppers. There are two different processes for saving seeds from these two items; reference will be made to how these processes overlap with saving seeds from different fruits and vegetables that teens may want to try at home.

All teen participants will have seeds they can take home that day.

This program is for teens.

Registration is required.
