Stuff You Want to Know | Orienteering

Roots Youth Development Program will teach teens about orienteering.

Teens will participate in an interactive game where they will be given a compass and directions they must follow. They will create their own map with a legend. They may choose to create a map of their neighborhood, school, or library.

Teens will learn what a compass is and how to use it. They will learn Cardinal direction and why it is important to know these. They will also learn how to read a map and how to create one.

This program is for teens.
