Stuff You Want to Know | Composting

Stuff You Want to Know | Composting

R.O.O.T.S Youth Development Program will teach teens the basics of composting.

Participants will learn what compost is, how we use it, how it is made, how it produces less waste, and what it does for the soil. Play an interactive game to sort through materials and learn how to determine what is compostable and what is not.

Each teen will be given materials to make an origami compost bag to take home so they can start composting right away. Teens will also be given instructions on how to start their own composting pile starting with the materials gathered in their orgami compost bag.

This program is for teens.

Registration is required.
