Tools for Tots: Feeding and Table Time

Tools for Tots: Feeding and Table Time

Join us at the Lewes Public Library immediately after Children’s Story Time, for family-child workshops to explore and promote healthy development. While caregivers enjoy a brief presentation by a member of Child Inspired’s therapy team and are encouraged to voice concerns or share experiences, children are invited to participate in a hands-on, developmentally-appropriate activity conducted by one of Child Inspired’s child educators.

This program is made possible in part by a generous donation from Beacon Pediatrics.

This Month: Feeding and Table Time

During mealtimes, toddlers have the opportunity to explore food, dining, and social interactions, engaging all their senses in the process. It's typical for mealtimes to become a bit messy due to their exploratory nature. This month, we will delve into the various stages of child development, providing insight into what is developmentally-appropriate for your child's age and stages regarding mealtime participation. We will cover topics such as children's sensory needs, food exploration, picky and distracted eaters, and learning how and when to use utensils.
