Tools for Tots: Healthy Hearts - Preparing Kids for Doctor Appointments
Going to the doctor can be challenging (though necessary) part of a kiddo's development. But positive experiences help prepare children and families for a lifetime of good preventative care and improved health outcomes. Join Child Inspired's pediatric specialists to learn positive tips and strategies for "medical play" at home and experiences with medical providers. Kids will have an opportunity to explore playful activites and prepare a fun make-and-take for their next trip to the doctor.
What’s this program all about? Join us at the Lewes Public Library immediately after Children’s Story Time, for family-child workshops to explore and promote healthy development. While caregivers enjoy a brief presentation by a member of Child Inspired’s therapy team and are encouraged to voice concerns or share experiences, children are invited to participate in a hands-on, developmentally-appropriate activity conducted by one of Child Inspired’s child educators.
