Tools for Tots: Sprouting Up - Strategies to Ease Outings to the Grocery Store

Tools for Tots: Sprouting Up - Strategies to Ease Outings to the Grocery Store

This month we'll focus on navigating outings to the grocery store. Bright lights, squeaky carts, waiting in line, and sensory overload at every aisle turn! It is often just easier to order online for pick-up or delivery, but there are valuable learning opportunities that happen with these functional outings. Join Child Inspired's pediatric specialists to learn positive tips and strategies for turning these outings into fun weekly routines. Kids will have an opportunity to explore playful activities and prepare a fun make-and-take for their next trip to the store.

What’s this program all about? Join us at the Lewes Public Library immediately after Children’s Story Time, for family-child workshops to explore and promote healthy development. While caregivers enjoy a brief presentation by a member of Child Inspired’s therapy team and are encouraged to voice concerns or share experiences, children are invited to participate in a hands-on, developmentally-appropriate activity conducted by one of Child Inspired’s child educators.
