Grab & Go STEM: Rubber Band Rockets
The Rubber Band Rocket Project explores how elastic potential energy can be stored and converted into kinetic energy to launch a small rocket made from lightweight materials. In this project, students design and build a simple rocket from a cardboard tube tube that is propelled forward by the force of stretched rubber bands. This hands-on activity encourages creativity and problem-solving while demonstrating how everyday materials can model real-world rocket propulsion.
