Homeschool Connections: Visit to DSWA
Join us on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from September to May for fun events just for homeschoolers! These events are designed for kids ages 6-18. All of our events are completely free of charge.
Registration is required for all events and opens approximately one month before the event begins. Please ensure that your email and phone number are correct and only register the participating youth (ages 6-18)! One no-call, no-show will result in removal from the registration list, but you are still welcome to join as a walk-in & see if space is available.
On April 1st, we'll be enjoying a guided visit with Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA). Come learn about different careers in waste management, walk along their nature trail, and play in the activity center full of interactive learning games and sensory-friendly fun. For the nature trail, please remember to wear closed toed shoes and proper outerwear, and bring your water. The trail is mulched and currently undergoing some updates but is expected to be stroller-friendly.
We are meeting at the DSWA Dover education center, located at 601 Energy Lane Dover, DE 19901. Carpooling is encouraged and parking is available on-site.
