Homeschool Connections: Rocks, Minerals, & Fungi

Homeschool Connections: Rocks, Minerals, & Fungi

Join us on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from September to May for fun events just for homeschoolers! These events are designed for kids ages 6-18. All of our events are completely free of charge.

Registration is required for all events and opens approximately one month before the event begins. Please ensure that your email and phone number are correct and only register the participating youth (ages 6-18)! One no-call, no-show will result in removal from the registration list, but you are still welcome to join as a walk-in & see if space is available.

On May 6th, we'll dive into the fascinating world of geology and mycology in this interactive class. Students will explore the different types of rocks and minerals, learning how they form and their various uses. The class will also cover the unique characteristics of fungi, their role in the ecosystem, and how they interact with the mineral world. This session will include hands-on activities that engage students in discovering the wonders of the natural world.

For any questions, please email Elizabeth.Miller@lib.de.us and Carlee.Hayden@lib.de.us.
