Tiny Art Contest & Show

Unleash your creative side with the South Coastal Library! We will be hosting a Tiny Art Contest for all ages! Simply decorate a 4x4 canvas into your own little masterpiece and submit it to the library by January 5th. Artwork will be displayed January 7th - January 25th in our Teen Room! Not looking to submit artwork, no problem - come by the Teen Room and vote for your favorites.

 Registration required to enter contest. You must call 302-858-5518 to register. Registration opens @ 10 am on 12/1/22.

• Registered participants will receive an art kit with a 4 x 4 inch blank canvas, participation instructions, and form
(kits can be picked up starting December 15th)

• Participants may use their own art supplies and mediums to decorate the canvas or we do have a limited supply of paints / decorating materials available. 

  • Acrylic Paint Strips with assorted brushes (please return brushes - ages 8+)
  • Paint Pens (Schedule an appointment in our study room to use our paint pens, or checkout a 4 pack to take home and bring them back when finished). 

• There are three age groups for judging:

  • Adults 18+
  • Teens (12-17)
  • Children (5 -11)

• Prizes will be awarded to the top entry per age group (awarded by a judging panel). The public will also vote on their favorite entry for each age group (People's Choice is just for fun).

  • Adult Division: $10 Tanger Outlets Gift Card, Library Canvas Bag and Coffee Mug
  • Teen Division: $10 Tanger Outlets Gift Card, Library Canvas Bag & Free Book
  • Children’s Division: Crayola Table Top Easel & Paint Set, Kids Painting Set

• There will be an awarding ceremony and Art Celebration on Wednesday, January 25 from 6 -6:45 pm. Stop by and see which entries are awarded and meet and socialize with other artists in your community. Light snacks provided.
