Online
Online & In-Person

This book club is a partnership with the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice. This group usually meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month. The Alliance Book and Film Group, celebrating its 5th year, discusses classic and contemporary works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and cinematic art. All are welcome.

This discussion will include a presentation by Janis Freeman, daughter of Ernie Freeman.

Janis was born in Cleveland, OH but raised in Los Angeles. A graduate of Howard University, she also attended Pratt Institute School of Architecture in New York. Janis owned and operated a design practice in New York and Connecticut. She created the concept, designed the structure, and managed the only federal design center, while employed at the General Services Administration in Washington, DC. In 2005 Janis married Arthur Perry. After retiring in 2006, they relocated to Lewes. All three children - Brandon, Chad, Courtney and their families - live on the West Coast.
