Join us in person for a conversation on a French movie previously seen at home. Please note: basic French conversational ability is required. This group is for participants 18 years and older.

This month's meeting is on film Germinal (1993).

In mid-nineteenth-century northern France, a coal mining town's workers are exploited by the mine's owner. One day, they decide to go on strike, and the authorities repress them.

Directed by Claude Berri. Written by Émile Zola, Claude Berri, and Arlette Langmann. Starring Renaud, Gérard Depardieu, and Miou-Miou.
