In Harmony Concert Series: Ken Lelen
Please join vintage guitarist Ken Lelen for "She Did It Her Way" a concert that celebrates the lives, romances, careers and pop hits of great female vocalists, performers and composers from the 1930s, 1940s & 1950s. Songs will include the swingin' sounds of Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Helen Forrest, Cindy Walker, Jo Stafford, Mildred Bailey, Billie Holiday, Judy Garland, Pattie Page, Kate Smith, Bessie Smith, Dinah Shore and others.
Ken Lelen has played steel-stringed acoustic guitar for more than five decades and brings to each concert several of his 20th Century acoustic guitars. Each instrument makes music that is striking for its character, tone and sustain — without the use of electronic gizmos or gimmicks.
