NARCAN TRAINING
Public program by Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health for the proper use and administration of NARCAN, the anti- overdosing drug. The Classroom-style training offers an informative presentation with plenty of time for questions and practice. Participants should plan for the full 1 hour time. Naloxone (NARCAN) is a medication that is effective in reversing the effects of an opioid overdose in an individual. Participants will learn how to recognize and appropriately respond to an opioid overdose. At the completion of the training, each participant is eligible to receive an Opioid Rescue Kit.
