Poetry Alive!
Queena Mast, a local artist and sometimes poet, will share her love of poetry and will guide participants in the practice of keeping an art/poetry notebook. Those who attend will share favorite poems and will receive a blank notebook. Participants will have opportunity and inspiration for appreciating poetry by using these notebooks to choose and combine poetry and images. In addition, Dr. Anne Colwell, a local poet and University of Delaware professor, will drop by and read a few of her poems. The program is free and open to all 12 and older; registration is required. To register, visit the library website at www.greenwood.lib.de.us, call 302-855-1242, or stop by the library. If attending, please bring your favorite book of poetry. For samples of Queena's thoughts and writings, check out her blog: http://themastblog.blogspot.com
