Volunteers from AARP Tax-Aide will be on-hand to assist taxpayers with preparing and filing their 2021 federal and Delaware state tax.  AARP Tax-Aide service is by appointment only -- no walk-ins. Please note:  AARP volunteers cannot prepare Schedule C (business), Schedule R (rental), Schedule D (more than 2 investment reports), and/or out-of-state returns.

Due to COVID-19 protocols established by both the national and state AARP chapters, taxpayers will not be able to sit with the volunteer preparers as they complete the return. The volunteer will conduct an intake interview at the beginning of the appointment, obtain all the required information and prepare the return while the taxpayer waits elsewhere. (You are welcome to wait in the library, or you can return after 11:30 a.m.).

All visitors to Kent County Public Library must wear a face mask while in the building.  This includes patrons boarding our mobile library unit.  (Neck gaiters and clear face shields are not permitted.)  Masks must be worn correctly, completely covering nose and mouth.  Children age 2 and under are exempt.  Masks strongly encouraged for children ages 2-5.  Masks strongly encouraged for children ages 2-5.
