During 1870-1900, Baltimore city became a major port of entry with the arrival of 610,000 immigrants largely from countries of central and eastern Europe. The presentation will focus on why people came, their assimilation to life in a large American city, and some of the significant contributions made by these new American citizens. Presented by Wayne Schaumburg via Zoom.
