Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots | A Young Environmentalist Club
Join Lewes Public Library's young environmentalist club, Roots & Shoots! This club is reserved for teenagers who are eager to take action in their community and contribute to keeping Lewes a wonderful place. We run various projects such as organic gardening, community clean-ups, feeding people in need, restoring and building wildlife habitats, and so much more! There is something for any young environmentalist who wants to get involved! New ideas are always encouraged. Service hours are given to any participant. This week we will be working with the Monarch Nursery planting native flowers and shrubbery on the Children's Patio. R&S is working on its summer project to turn the Children's Patio into a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
