Homeschool Connection: All About Oysters!

Homeschool Connection: All About Oysters!

Discover the power of the oyster! Sometimes referred to as “nature’s engineers” or “vacuums of the bay,” oysters play a critical role in keeping our bays clean. Students will get a closer look at these bivalves in action and watch as they filter water. Using the oyster as a model, participants will learn about the relationship between structure & function in different animal adaptations.

Homeschool Connection is our monthly program for K - 5th grade homeschool students. We host a variety of presenters on different topics, and include a library skills extension for each class. Check in the kids' room for the schedule of presenters.
