Owls of Delmarva with the Delaware Nature Society

Owls of Delmarva with the Delaware Nature Society

The Abbotts Mill Nature Center is coming to Greenwood to tell us all about the Owls of Delmarva on Wednesday, June 30th at 10:00am.   Explore the amazing and mysterious world of Owls. Meet four Delmarva residents and a special winter visitor while we read, A Snowy Owl Story. Examine the structures and adaptations while viewing mounted owl species. Actively investigate where owls live, fly and hunt as the sky grows dark. Learn to identify hoots and calls. Backyard activities for family night exploration!  This program is best for kids ages 4-12, but we welcome families. Please note that because of the excessive heat warning, the location has changed.  We will be meeting inside the Greenwood VFW, which is behind the library.  Because this program is limited to 30 total attendees, please register all children and adults who will be attending this program at www.greenwood.lib.de.us or call (302) 855-1242. Masks are encouraged for attendees ages 5 and up in an effort to ensure maximum safety for all involved.  Parking is available at the Greenwood Public Library.

This program is funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Delaware Division of Libraries.
