Kids Summer Reading Finale, Featuring Jimmie Allen!
Bring your own blanket or chair, and join us for a visit from platinum-selling recording artist-songwriter and Cape alum, Jimmie Allen, who will sign his newly released, debut picture book, “My Voice is a Trumpet.” The event will take place in Stango Park, and will include a conversation with the star, and a reading of his book. Books will be available for sale onsite from Browseabout Books. Finishers of the Summer Reading Program who return their reading logs/bingo boards will receive a certificate and can choose a brand new book from the library's selection of summer reading prizes to take home for keeps.
