Jazz and the Civil Rights Movement: Talk and Performance with Galen Abdur-Razzaq
The Delaware City Library welcomes flutist Galen Abdur-Razzaq. This program focuses on the history of jazz and its place in the Civil Rights Movement. Enjoy an informative lecture on the link between jazz and civil rights, and a jazz flute performance.
Galen is a world renowned flute player and lecturer with an extensive performance career. He has performed for many universities including Penn State, Tuskegee University, and the University of Maryland. He holds a Master’s degree in Education and Performing Arts.
