Alison Parker, author of Unceasing Militant: The Life of Mary Church Terrell and Professor of American History at the University of DE will give a talk on Mary Church Terrell. Born enslaved in 1863 in Tennessee, Mary became a civil rights activist who continuously advocated racial and gender equality until her death in 1954. Learn about Mary and her impact on both the Civil Rights and Women's Equality Movement via Zoom.
