This class is open to beginners only! Limited seating available. (Registration opens at noon on Monday, November 30)

Have you ever wanted to learn American Sign Language? Here's your chance! Join us to the learn the basics of American Sign Language ONLINE! This class will meet every Wednesday at 7pm via Zoom for (4) weeks. All participants are expected to attend all four sessions. Each week participants will learn new skills to prepare them for the future meetings. Below is an outline of dates & the topics that will be explored: 

Jan 6- Reading Humans- Facial Expressions & Body Movements

Jan 13- Fingerspelling- Letters, Words, & Numbers

Jan 20- Signing Basic Words

Jan 27- Expanding the Vocabulary- Greetings & Introductions

The zoom link will be emailed to all registered participants days before the class begins.

FAQs

Can I register and only attend one of these classes? 

No you may not. All participants are expected to attend all four classes. If you cannot attend all four sessions, please allow those who can attend all sessions to register.

I registered for thic class. Can I take this class with someone else in my household? Do they need to register individually?

Yes, you can take this class with one additional person in your household. If more than one additional person would like to attend please email wilm.events@lib.de.us

Can my child attend this course with me? 

This course is intended for adults. Children 12+ are welcome to attend assuming that they are attending with a parent that has registered. Children 14+ can attend without an adult.

I've taken this course already. Can I take it again? 

This course is intended for people who are brand new to ASL. Please let others have a chance to attend this course before you reconsider taking the course again.

This class is full. Are there other classes available?
