A Woman’s Work Continues | A Deeper Dive into the Issues

Online

After the success of our July 2020 panel discussion, the Delaware Historical Society and Lewes Public Library are co-hosting a second panel discussion to take a deeper look into women’s rights and issues. Joining us will be a diverse panel of socially conscious, activist women. Each will give a short presentation on a specific topic. Afterwards there will be a general discussion. Bring your questions and comments, audience participation is encouraged!

Moderated by Dr. Emerald Christopher-Byrd, Assistant Professor, Women & Gender Studies, University of Delaware
Panelists include:

  • Beatrice “Bebe” Coker – Community activism and education
  • Shane Darby – Black maternal health
  • Kerri Evelyn Harris - LGBTQ+ community and micro-aggression and racism
  • Melanie Ross Levin – Delaware women and COVID
