STEM Time with The Great STEMporium with The Lewes Public Library (Kids 5 - 9)
For Kids, ages 5 - 9. **REGISTRATION REQUIRED** Pick up a STEM kit from Lewes Public Library and then join us on Zoom for a virtual session where we'll work on the project together. All necessary materials will be provided. This month's program is:
Tower of Pasta
The goal is to use your raw materials (pasta, straws, marshmallows and a few surprise items) to build a nice tall and sturdy tower within the time limit. When your magnificent creation is built, you’ll begin placing weights on it to test its strength. Structural design is EVERYTHING on this challenge. You’re definitely gonna want to brush up on the principles of beams and girders.
This event will take place on Zoom. Basic written instructions for using Zoom are available courtesy of the Lewes Public Library. A brief video tutorial on how to join a meeting can be found on the Zoom Support website.
Registrants will be contacted with information regarding kit pick up prior to the program.
