Introduction to Port Penn

Introduction to Port Penn

Online

Jake from Fort Delaware will provide an informative program on Port Penn. Founded in the 1760s, Port Penn’s founders hoped that it would become a seaport to rival Philadelphia. Though the port never quite lived up to those aspirations, Port Penn is a remarkable community that managed to be both international and uniquely Delawarean.

Program presented by Jake Miller, Interpretive Program Manager, Fort Delaware
