Shakespeare Festival Presents Shakespeare and Saint Valentine

Shakespeare Festival Presents Shakespeare and Saint Valentine

“If music be the food of love, play on!”
Twelfth Night

Join us around the fireplace as Delaware Shakespeare actors concoct an enticing mix of love scenes, sonnets, and songs, to create a perfect way for you and your Valentine to celebrate Cupid’s February holiday! The performance lasts approximately 75 minutes and refreshments will be served.

Now in its seventeenth season, Delaware Shakespeare creates year-round professional theatre and educational programs for residents and friends of the State of Delaware. At Del Shakes, people from all walks of life celebrate and explore their shared humanity through the lens of Shakespearean work.

Seating is limited so registration is requested. Sign up online, by calling the library at 302-645-2733, or stop by the Circulation Desk. Walk ins are welcome.

This program is brought to you by the Shakespeare Festival, a program of the Lewes Public Library, which seeks to provide the community with experiences that foster the understanding of Shakespeare and the world in which he lived and wrote. The Shakespeare Festival is partially funded by a grant from the Delaware Humanities, a state program of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
