Bird Watching 101 - TO BE RESCHEDULED

Bird Watching 101 - TO BE RESCHEDULED

To protect your health and that of the general public, the library has cancelled or postponed all library sponsored programs through March 31. Given the dynamic nature of the current situation, check our website, calendar and social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) for updates.

We hope to reschedule this program in the near future. Thank you for your understanding.

Learn how to get started, the equipment you need and how to use it, the benefits of birding and where and when to go. Focus will be on Sussex County but the principles apply everywhere. Weather permitting, after the presentation, we will go outside to look for a few birds near the library. Please dress accordingly and bring binoculars if you have them.

Presented by Rob and Carol Blye of Sussex Bird Club. Rob is a retired biologist with a degree in wildlife biology from Cornell University. He and Carol are avid recreational birders who organize field trips for Sussex Bird Club.

Registration is requested. Sign up online, call the library at 302-645-2733, or stop by the Circulation Desk. Walk ins are welcome.

This program is part of Lewes Loves Books, a One Book One Community program that connects to Jennifer Ackerman’s book Birds from the Shore.
