Nehemiah Gateway Community Development Corporation (NGDC) is offering first-come, first-served tax help for household incomes $56,000 or less with dependents or $38,000 or less without dependents.
Please be advised there are typically two opportunities per day to get your taxes done, at 10am and again at approximately 4pm. The service is first come, first served so it's best to get here to wait in line as early as possible. The volunteers typically fill slots for the day by 11am and again by 6pm for the evening (sometimes earlier).
The 2019 IRS tax deadline is April 15th. For preparers helping with your 2019 tax returns, it is important that you bring these items:
- All 2019 documents
-Your 2019 federal and state tax returns
-Your social security card and current photo ID
-Your spouse if you are filing jointly
-A check if you want direct deposit of your refund
-All W2s, 1099s and 1098s and dependent documentation
-A list of other expenses and deductions
-Childcare information
