Author Presentation with William Rosenau | Tonight We Bombed the U.S. Capitol - CANCELED
This event has been canceled due to a change in the publication date of the book.
The History Book Festival, Lewes Public Library and Browseabout Books welcome author William Rosenau to discuss his book, Tonight We Bombed The U.S. Capitol: The Explosive Story of M19, America's First Female Terrorist Group.
On November 7, 1983, a bomb exploded in the north wing of the U.S. Capitol building, which blew doors off their hinges, shattered chandeliers, and left a fifteen-foot-wide crater in the hall. Soon after, the National Public Radio received a call from an unidentifiable voice, who said six words: “Tonight, we bombed the U.S. Capitol.” A gripping female-focused narrative, this book explores the ideologies and inner workings of M19, America’s first female terrorist group—what motivated them, why they picked their targets, and how they executed their attacks on government, corporate, and military facilities
Copies of the book will be available for sale by Browseabout Books and Mr. Rosenau will sign copies.
Registration is requested. Sign up online, by calling the Library at 302-645-2733, or stop by the Circulation Desk. Walk ins are welcome.
