"Chasing Space" Book Discussion
Ages 16 and up. Join us for a discussion of Chasing Space by astronaut and former NFL wide receiver Leland D. Melvin. Defying the odds, Leland Melvin became the only person to catch a football for the NFL -- and also in space. This program is sponsored by the Delaware Humanities Foundation as part of its DEstination: Space initiative, highlighting the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, and Delaware's past, present and future contribtuions to America's space program. Copies of the book will be available for check out at the library beginning September 1. (Books must be returned by September 26.) Limited copies; first come, first served.
