Universe of Stories - Spacesuit presentation by Bill Ayrey, ILC Dover

Bill Ayrey will provide a presentation on the space suits that NASA has outfitted our astronauts with since the Apollo program. As a 41-year employee and company historian for ILC Dover, manufacturer of all the NASA space suits, it has been his responsibility to oversee all space suit testing. His talk will include the details as to why we need to wear space suits as well as the history of the Apollo program and the suits used by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin 50 years ago when they took the first steps on the moon in their suits built right here in Delaware.
