A Universe of Stories - Apollo: Safely to Earth

A Universe of Stories - Apollo: Safely to Earth

As part of the Library's celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo Lunar Landing, join us for a presentation by Jack Clemons, local writer and author of Safely to Earth: The Men and Women Who Brought the Astronauts Home.

An informative and entertaining account of Jack's responsibilities as one of the young engineers working on NASA's Apollo Moon Program, the greatest adventure of our times. Jack will include vintage photographs and anecdotes drawn from his time as a lead engineer supporting the Apollo astronauts during their return flight from the Moon. He'll also share some little known stories about the teamwork and technology that made Apollo 11 a success and saved the Apollo 13 mission from near disaster.  Copies of his book will be available for sale by Browseabout Books and Mr. Clemons will sign copies.

Registration is requested. Sign up online, by calling the Library at 302-645-2733, or stop by the Circulation Desk. Walk ins are welcome.
