"Miss Representation" Film Screening and Discussion

"Miss Representation" Film Screening and Discussion

In partnership with the YWCA, enjoy a free screening and community discussion of "Miss Representation," (2011) a documentary written, directed, and produced by Jennifer Siebel Newsom. It explores how mainstream media contributes to the under-representation of women in influential positions by circulating limited and often disparaging portrayals of women, and how boys learn that their success is tied to dominance, power, and aggression.

This film is not rated, but contains profanity and sexual imagery (according to IMDb's Parents Guide) that may not be suitable for children.
