Meeting of the Minds – Book Club & 2019 DCF Book Circle: "Our Towns"

Meeting of the Minds – Book Club & 2019 DCF Book Circle: "Our Towns"

Facilitated by Marylee Reeger - 2nd Thursday of Each Month at 5:30 PM.

2019 Book Circles: Our Towns
by James and Deborah Fallows

Since 2013, Deborah and James Fallows have traveled to small communities in every part of the country that have faced economic shocks, political crises or other serious hardships. Each place they went, they talked with teachers, business creators, mayors, religious leaders, students, artists and architects, librarians and others involved in shaping their community’s future.

Their 100,000-mile journey brings us stories of communities that are remaking their towns and their lives. These towns are putting big ideas into action – building creative public/private partnerships, restoring downtowns, investing in innovative schools, developing vibrant open spaces and celebrating diversity.

This fall, the DCF wants to inspire Delawareans to come together in conversation to explore the stories of Delaware towns, and how we are collectively building solutions to our most pressing challenges.

This book discussion is one of a series of book circles at selected libraries sponsored and supported by the Delaware Community Foundation.

Be a part of the conversation by hosting a Book Circle in your community.
