Sakura Mini Matsuri (Mini Cherry Blossom Festival)
In Japanese sakura means cherry blossom, and a matsuri is a festival. Join us as we celebrate Japanese culture with crafts, a traditional Japanese dance demonstration and kimono demonstration by Kuniko Kanawa, a performance by the KyoDaiko taiko drum troupe of Philadelphia, an introduction to anime, manga and cosplay by the Delaware Anime Society (for ages 13+), and more! Japanese/asian-inspired clothing and family-friendly cosplay are welcome. KyoDaiko's performance is sponosred by the Friends of Kent County Public Library. (Parent or other responsible adult must be present in the library, including during programs, for any child/youth under the age of 16.)
