Delaware Library Legislative Day 2019
Our library advocacy day begins at the Dover Public Library at 8:30 with registration check-in and a light continental breakfast as we greet colleagues and make new friends.
Throughout the morning we'll learn about our "One Ask", including how to present and effectively talk to our legislators! Our keynote is Candace Vessella, President of the Friends of the Lewes Public Library. Her background includes:
- Communications and Government relations
- Civilian employee with US Department of Defense
- US Navy Reserve
- Commissioner on the City of Lewes Parks and recreation
Lunch will be in Legislative Hall, 2nd Floor Hearing Room, while meetings with legislators take place. State Legislators then head to Session at 2pm.
We'll have a wrap up at the Dover Public Library from 2:15-3:00 to capture your stories and ideas for next year!
