John Brown and the Secret Six

John Brown and the Secret Six

John Brown was a devoted abolitionist and a member of the Abolitionist Society. He worked with the underground railroad and lectured on the evils of slavery.  He planned to kill all the slave owners and abolish slavery in the slave owning states.  This plan ended at Harper’s Ferry VA when his attempt to steal guns ended with him being captured and hung.

Come and learn more about this historic, horrific event from local historian and lecturer Syl Woolford.
