This series of 7 lectures shares the amazingly rich culture and incredibly significant history of lives in the Boyne valley of Ireland for over 6000 years. The lectures include an introduction to the Celts, their monuments, rock art and written history; Celtic Irish mythology; Irish folklore; and real Irish heroes.
Taught by Lauren Thomas, President of the Lewes Irish Society, Clann Na NGael. Lauren is an Irish citizen, teaches the Irish language, and is well-versed in Irish mythology and folklore.
Session 3: The Ulster Cycle (Cuchulain, Deirdre of the sorrows, and Cattle raid of Cooley)
