Historic Chocolate

On Monday, February 11th, at 6pm, the Lewes Historical Society will present a program on Historic Chocolate at the Greenwood Library. Everyone is invited to come learn more about the source and production of this delectable treat. The program is free and open to all; children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. To register, call the library at 349-5309 or register below.

A description from the Lewes Historical Society:

Chocolate has played an important role in American history past, present, and future.  In this program participants will learn about how chocolate found its place in popular culture, view a demonstration of the 18th century chocolate making process using AMERICAN HERITAGE® Chocolate made by Mars Chocolate North America. Attendees will also be able to‘taste the past’ for themselves.

This program is provided by the Lewes Historical Society, which celebrates the history of the first town in the first state. LHS is currently also the first and only organization within Delaware which can bring this interesting and interactive history of chocolate to you!
