Bags2Mats Service Project
Ages 16 and up. Learn how to make "plarn" -- plastic yarn -- from plastic bags, which is then used to create mats for the homeless. Over the past seven years, Bags2Mats volunteers have prepared plarn, crocheted, and gifted more than 4,000 mats statewide. Preregistration is required. (Program held before normal library business hours, only those who have preregistered permitted.)
