Emily Dickinson - Trish Chambers Productions

Performed in period costume, Trish Chambers will present the life and times of Emily Dickinson. Though few of her poems were published during her lifetime, Emily Dickinson became one of America's most prolific and well-known poets. Her poetry is esoteric and haunting, at times hard to comprehend, but always containing a message, opinion, or statement of who she was and how she saw the world. After "visiting with Miss Dickinson," we will discuss the life experiences and the social world that created both the woman and the poet.

This program is designed to enrich our understanding of literary greats and the context of their works in society and time in an engaging and relaxing atmosphere.
