Know the signs-Suicide prevention

Join us on Wednesday, January 14 at the Greenwood Public Library, for an informative presentation from QPR instructor, Sydney Elliott from the Mental Health Association of Delaware. This information equips people to be on the lookout for signs of those who are in need of help with a game plan to provide that help.  For more information call us at 302-855-1242.

QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) teaches the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.. As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper you will learn to: recognize the warning signs of suicide, know how to offer hope and know how to get help and save a life.

This program was developed to give the general public the confidence and resources to aid those in need.
