While you are here sign up for our 2025 Summer Reading Program! Fun for all ages. Simply read 10 hours to win prizes! The program runs June 1 - August 9, 2025 and all forms of reading count! Whether you prefer to read physical books, eBooks, audiobooks, graphics, or magazines all can count towards your ten hours of reading!

Logging has never been easier with the Beanstack Tracker App or by using the Beanstack website. Please note: If you had an account in previous years with us, you may continue to use that account. When you complete your logging on Beanstack you get extra raffle chances for Unified Sussex Summer Reading prizes valued at approximately $50.00 courtesy of many libraries throughout Sussex County. This is in addition to our own prizes we offer and fund at the South Coastal Library

Children's Summer Reading:

Who: Ages birth - 11 years

When: June 1 - August 9, 2025 

Where: Complete your summer reading anywhere with the Beanstack Tracker app or on a paper log! Logging must be completed online or the paper form turned in by August 9, 2025. 

Why: Encourage your children to read over summer break with us! Friendly library staff can help you choose your next read. Plus, children who complete summer reading will receive several prizes to celebrate their accomplishment!

Prizes: Color Your World T-shirt, New book of your choice, $1 off coupon to Tidepool Toys, Coupon for free kids treat at Rita's 

Teen / Young Adult Summer Reading Program:

Who: Ages 12-17 years

When: June 1 - August 9, 2025 

Where: Complete your reading anywhere and log it in the Beanstack Tracker app on your smart device, or by picking up a paper log! (Trust me, you'll want to use the app, so you can earn raffle tickets for prizes worth $50--in addition to the prizes listed below!) Logging must be completed online or the paper form turned in by August 9, 2025. 

Why: Find out how satisfying it is to read a book for FUN!  We get it--you've spent all school year reading hard stuff you didn't like. Let us help you find a book you'll really love! Then we'll give you great prizes for reading it!  Already a book lover? Might as well keep track of your reading and pick up some great prizes for doing what you'd do anyway! All teens who complete 10 hours of reading between June 1 and August 9 will receive the following prizes listed below (while supplies last).

Prizes:  A $10 Amazon gift card, a new book of your choice, a coupon for Millville Boardwalk attractions (for arcade, go-karts, mini-golf or ice cream,) AND an opportunity to create a free t-shirt using the Library's Cricut machine (we'll show you how.)

Adult Summer Reading:

Who: Ages 18+

When: June 1 - August 9, 2025 

Where: Complete your summer reading anywhere with the Beanstack app or your smart device or by picking up a paper log! Logging must be completed online or the paper form turned in by August 9, 2025. 

Why: Show the library staff your love of reading by participating in our summer reading challenge for adults! Earn chances for great prizes while reading on the beach, listening to an audiobook or reading at home. Only 10 hours, we believe in you!
