Speaker Series: Mary Kendall on Navajo Code Talkers

Join us for a compelling presentation by U.S. Navy veteran and Native American Mary Kendall, as she shares the extraordinary story of the Navajo Code Talkers of World War II. Code Talkers were Navajo tribal members who were recruited into the Marine Corps during the war because enemy combatants would not be able to “crack” the language they were speaking. Through powerful storytelling, Ms. Kendall will shed light on their courage, legacy, and the unique role that language played in shaping history.
