Online and In-person

Join us in the library or online for a presentation by Rabbi David Zaslow, author of Jesus: First-Century Rabbi. This event is co-sponsored by Seaside Jewish Community with support from the Jewish Federation of Delaware.

Rabbi Zaslow's presentation will highlight the mutual spiritual path of Christianity and Judaism by examining Jesus's commitment to his Jewish faith. In his readable, yet scholarly work, Rabbi Zaslow provides an appreciation of both religions and how interfaith study leads to tolerance and understanding. His book inspires with his humor and warmth while enhancing knowledge of the historical Jesus, the Jewish Jesus, and the religion of Judaism. Simultaneously, it places Jesus in context as an authentic Jewish teacher of his times. Both Christian and Jewish religious leaders and thinkers have welcomed this book for its insights and dialogues between the faiths.

Rabbi David Zaslow, M.S., is the spiritual leader of Havurah Shir Hadash, a synagogue in Ashland, Oregon. He travels the country leading workshops with churches and synagogues on the Jewish roots of Christianity.
