Color Your Backyard - Gardening Series
Registration will register you for all the classes. However, you have the option to attend the class, or classes of your choice.
- May 14th - Attracting hummingbirds with garden flowers and feeders - Hummingbirds are popular birds in our gardens but they often visit for a short of time and then move on. This workshop will discuss ways to create a hummingbird-friendly garden that will attract them over the whole growing season, using both native and non-invasive non-native plants. There will also be a discussion on the proper and safe use of feeders. A detailed list of hummingbird-attracting flowers will be included.
- Jun. 11th - Hibiscus for the garden and patio
- July - no workshop
- Aug. 13th - Crape Myrtles: southern plants for northern Delaware
- Sept.10th - Gardening in a changing climate
- Oct. 08th - Tree selections for Delaware
