Join the Lewes Public Library and Seaside Jewish Community online for a conversation with Judge David S. Tatel, author of Vision: A Memoir of Blindness and Justice.

For nearly 30 years, David Tatel sat as a judge on America’s second highest court, the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He heard and wrote opinions in many crucial cases dealing with voting rights, net neutrality, environmental issues, and First Amendment rights of journalists. Yet he has been blind for the past 50 of his 80-plus years. His biography, Vision, tells about his legal career as well as his journey in coming to terms with his loss of sight and the technological advances that he has mastered, as well as introducing  Vixen, his guide dog. Judge Joan Churchill, a retired Immigration Court judge and Seaside member, will interview him in this event jointly sponsored by Seaside Jewish Community, Browseabout Books, and the Lewes Public Library.
