3rd Annual Native Plant Swap!

3rd Annual Native Plant Swap!

Welcome! We look forward to seeing you on September 28!!

Let us know you are coming by REGISTERING BELOW.

--->If the weather is not good Saturday, we will move everyone from the parking lot to the dry Colonnade on the side of the library so please come, Rain or Shine. We promise you will stay dry!

PLEASE keep in mind the following Guidelines:

  1. Plants, propagations and seeds should be NATIVE and NON INVASIVE. Please refer to the DNS Native Plant Sale Catalogue and other resource links below if you are not sure.
  2. Please be sure items are labeled and include Care Instructions with all items you will be swapping or sharing.
  3. You may work out of your trunk or hatch, or bring your own table to display your plants/seeds.
  4. You may sign up to swap both plants and seeds, or simply come for free offerings (we always have extra!)
  5. Please wash all roots bare before bringing to the exchange, unless potted in purchased bagged soil. This helps prevent the spread of any unwanted garden pests like jumping worms, weed seeds, or soil diseases.
  6. Arrive at 9:30am. Check in with Library staff between 9:30-9:50am at the Library Check in table that will be on the front sidewalk.
  7. At Check in, you will be assigned a parking spot in the back half of the Library parking lot.
  8. Be sure to pickup a Native Plant Swap Passport at check in, and leave yourself time to go into the library for all of our related programming, displays and activities for all ages.
